A young school girl was torn apart after learning of her father’s death in the recent Plateau killings.

According to viral news reports, the pupil simply identified as Chap, just returned from school for the holidays but was told she couldn’t go home because her community was attacked and she was taken to the IDP camp with the hope of reuniting with her parents and siblings.

However, on getting to the IDP camp in Heipang, she asked for her father and was told that he was burnt to death during the crisis.

During a visit for Need Assessment by Hon. Alice Dimlong Asaije and other NGOs, Chap reportedly cried uncontrollably.
