Singer Diamond Platnumz is reportedly in Police custody after posting indecent photographs on social media.

This was made known on Tuesday after the Minister of Communication, Harrison Mwakwembe, told members of the parliament.

Mwakwembe explained that since Monday, indecent photographs of the 28-year-old singer have circulated on social media showing him shirtless while in bed with an unidentified woman cuddling.

The communication minister said the photographs displayed acts that are contrary to the law, adding that the video also breached cultural norms.

Harrison Mwakyembe said,

“Among our artists, there are some who are starting to spread indecency on social media.

“I inform you that yesterday we were able to arrest the great musician Diamond Platinumz, he is being questioned by the police about indecent photos he circulated.

“Social media is not a garbage dump of sorts. Our country has a culture. 

The minister promised that the musician would be brought to justice.

Just a few days ago, the Tanzanian musician posted a video of him and an unidentified woman playfully kissing on his Instagram account.

The video reportedly went viral after it was used by several news sites and blogs.
