Police arrest Kano commissioner for leading thugs to disrupt supplementary election
Kano State commissioner for special duties, Muktar Yakasai, was on Saturday arrested by police officers on election duty.
Mr Yakasai had allegedly led thugs to disrupt supplementary election currently being held at Yelwa secondary school in Dala LGA.
Also, in Gama ward, the police were forced to fire tear gas to curb violence as suspected thugs began to act violently.
The thugs had chased journalists away from monitoring elections in the ward. Two journalists were injured in the process.
