Police cannot investigate stealing of underwear, it’s not empirically verifiable – Frank Mba
The Nigeria Police Force PRO, ACP Frank Mba, has said that the police cannot investigate stealing of underwear because it is not “empirically verifiable.”
Mba said the police can investigate cases of murder, attempted murder or related crimes adding that “we don’t investigate divinations or morality except for related acts that constitute a criminal offence”.
Mba made these statements while speaking on NTA’s Good Morning Nigeria programme on Friday.
“Stealing of underwear for whatsoever reason is a recent phenomenon, before now, we had cases of rituals killings but we can’t investigate things that are not empirically verifiable except when there is a convergence of the act like cases of murder or an attempt or related crimes,” the Police tweeted”

We are indeed in a trying time. It’s good to be positively ambitious but wanting to get rich quick with minimal skills, efforts and at a very short time is quite disturbing. pic.twitter.com/QXoK9NxNTV

Drug &substance abuses are strong conscience suppressors that influence our youth into these wicked acts of fetish and ritual killings for get-rich-quick.
