Police declare Sergeant who killed man for demanding he dim vehicle headlights wanted, offer N500,000 reward
The police have declared one Sergeant Collins Akpugo wanted for allegedly killing Mr Chukwuikem Onuoha.
The Commissioner of Police in Abia State, Mr Ene Okon, who declared the on-the-run office wanted, added a reward of N500, 000 for anyone with useful information on the officer’s whereabouts.
WuzupNaija reports that Akpugo had allegedly shot and killed Onuoha on 4 June 2019 after the deceased reportedly ask him to dim the light of his vehicle.
The incident happened at Afaraukwu community in Umuahia North Local Government Area of the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Geoffrey Ogbonna, in a statement, said the CP declared Akpugo wanted because the five days of grace given to him to surrender himself for Police disciplinary actions had elapsed.
The statement also added that the gun Akpugo allegedly used for the act has been recovered by the police investigating team where he abandoned it behind a fence.
