Is President Buhari dead? Read what his media aide just said

Published

Rumours indicating that President Muhammadu Buhari is dead has been blatantly refuted by his senior special assistant on media and publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu.

There had been unfounded rumours about the state of the president’s health after taking his third medical trip outside the country in the last two years.

Nigerians had expressed serious worries over the state of President Buhari’s health, especially as his vacation would last for about ten official days.

But a furious Shehu has lashed out at those fabricating the news about the president’s demise and also threw a shade at ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, who was reportedly in Ota with Chief Olusegun Obasanjo – another former Head of State – when he was also said to be in the United States for Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Read his statement on Facebook a few mins ago: “He is alive and well! President Buhari is not magical. He cannot be holidaying in the UK and be in Germany, dead or alive at the same time.

“He is unlike a past President who was at Ota, with Chief Obasanjo and attending the Trump inauguration in D.C, being in two places at the same time!”

Nigerians immediately reacted to the report and lashed out at the president’s media aide, calling him a huge disgrace to the presidency.
