Two Ugandan musicians believed to be loyal to President Yoweri Museveni have been gifted with 30 cows each by the 75-year-old president who is seeking re-election for a record 6th term in 2021.

The president through his music manager Balaam Barugahara, on Wednesday, gifted the singers Michael Mugwanya alias King Micheal and Mayanja Ibrahim alias Big Eye, the animals.

According to Nile Post, the Ugandan president also supported the cow gift with a cash donation.

Excited by the news, Michael revealed that he had been eying the president’s prized cattle for a while.

“There were a lot of cows at Kololo recently and I was told they were to be slaughtered. I told Balaam that they too many just to be eaten and that they should just be grazed so he promised to talk to the president about this and today, after receiving a call from Balaam, I was given 30 cows.

“I will be taking them to Luwero where I will be grazing them from. Come 2022, my voice is going to be sharp from the milk I will be drinking,” said Michael.

The two musicians are said to be the few among the president’s loyal entertainers who had not received presidential recognition for their work.

Affirming their support, Michael and Big Eye promised to drum up support for the head of state as he seeks re-election in 2021.
