Ramadan: Cleric tasks Muslims to intensify prayers on last 10 days

Published

An Islamic Cleric, Yusuf Al-Fulani Abdullahi, of Uthman Bn Affan Mosque, has advised Muslims to reduce sleep and intensify prayers on the last 10 days of Ramadan to receive blessings from Allah.

The cleric gave this advice in his Ramadan tafsir (sermon) on Wednesday in Ilorin.

According to him, reducing sleep in the last days of Ramadan will ensure they receive blessings of the “Night of Majesty” known as Laylatul Qadir.

He said they should also ensure their family members engage in prayers in the last days of the Ramadan.

”Anyone who is able to pray and worship in the Night of Majesty will have reward equivalent to someone who has been worshipping for 83 years and four months.

”The doors of blessings have been open during Ramadan and Muslims should fervently seek for the Night of Majesty.

”Muslims should seek for the night on the last odd days of Ramadan commencing from the 21st day, while also engaging in seeking forgiveness from Allah,” he said.

Abdullahi said that Muslims should also use the opportunity to pray against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic ravaging the world.
