Rapper, Tyler ‘The Creator’, says I like girls but I end up f***ing their brothers
American rapper, Tyler, The Creator, who has always been cryptic about his sexuality has raised eyebrows with a confusing statement.
The 28-year-old is one of GQ’s men of the year opened up a bit about his personal life.
Speaking to GQ, he said that he “likes girls” but “ends up f***ing their brother every time”.
In his early career, Tyler, the Creator came under heavy criticism over the use of homophobic slurs, in his debut album Goblin, released in 2011. He later defended himself in a NME interview, saying:
“I’m not homophobic. I just think ‘faggot’ hits and hurts people. It hits.
“And ‘gay’ just means you’re stupid. I don’t know, we don’t think about it, we’re just kids. We don’t think about that s**t. But I don’t hate gay people. I don’t want anyone to think I’m homophobic.”
In 2015, he was banned from entering the UK by then-home secretary Theresa May, who said that his lyrics “encouraged violence and intolerance of homosexuality”.
It was after the controversy, he started addressing his own sexuality.
“I TRIED TO COME OUT THE DAMN CLOSET LIKE FOUR DAYS AGO AND NO ONE CARED HAHAHHAHAHA,” he tweeted in April 2015.
