Real Madrid reportedly sign Eden Hazard, fix unveiling for after Europa League final

Spanish La Liga giant, Real Madrid, will unveil Eden Hazard after the Europa League final later this month after signing him for a fee of around €100m (£86m).

Hazard has continuously flirted with a move to the Spanish giants in recent months and reports from France claim the transfer is imminent.

L’Equipe on Tuesday reported that a €100m (£86m) deal has been agreed, with Madrid waiting until after the Europa League final on May 29 to formally announce it.

Chelsea take on Arsenal in the Baku showpiece as the Gunners look to steal a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Speaking after the 0-0 draw with Leicester, the Belgian was again pressed on whether he would remain at the club.

“We have a final to play and then I will see,” said Hazard.

“It has never been a distraction.

Speculation surrounding Hazard’s future comes as:

“When you are on the pitch, you try to be focused on the pitch with the ball. That’s it.

‘When I am on the pitch I just try to do the best. I am not thinking about this and this, my situation or the club’s situation.

“I just try to win games.”

But Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri admits he is powerless when it comes to keeping Hazard at the club, insisting fans much respect his wishes.
