Political activist and social commentator, Reno Omokri, has gathered some of his close friends to wish Leah Sharibu a happy 16th birthday even though she is still with her Boko Haram captors.

Omokri who has relentlessly campaigned for the release of Leah Sharibu posted a video of comedian Bovi, Senator Ben Bruce and Ali Ndume wishing the bold and courageous Sharibu heartfelt birthday wishes and prayers for a safe return.

Nigerian flautist with cross-cultural Itsekiri and Swiss roots also serened the 16-year-old on her birthday.

“My friends, Senators @BenMurrayBruce and Ali Ndume, along with @OfficialBovi and award winning flutist, Tee Mac Omatsola, join me and members of the #RenosNuggets family to say #Happy16THBirthDayLeahSharibu,” Reno’s tweet reads.

Leah would have spent 451 days in Boko Haram captivity. She is the only Christian girl still in captivity after her abduction on February 19, 2018.

She was 14 years when she was abducted by Boko Haram terrorists from Government Girls’ Science and Technical Secondary School in Dapchi, Yobe State, along with 111 other girls and a schoolboy.
