Ruggedman sends goodwill message to Naira Marley as he heads to court for bail hearing [Video]

Social activist and rapper, Ruggedman has sent goodwill message to his younger colleague, Naira Marley, ahead of his court hearing today.

The rapper who had been accused of snitching on Naira Marley said he only cautioned him for his careless statements and nothing more.

Ruggedman said he was sorry to have said that he was glad about Naira Marley’s arrest because he will never wish for the latter’s woes.

He further prayed that Naira Marley comes out of his ordeal well and hopes he gets a good lawyer to plead his case.

Ruggedman, an active #ENDSARS champion said he hopes Naira Marley learns from his mistakes and starts his life on a clean slate.

Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested Azeez Fashola a.k.a Naira Marley, Zlatan Ibile and three others on May 10, 2019.

While Zlatan Ibile was released on bail, the EFCC found a MacBook laptop in Naiara Marley’s possession that contained incriminating documents.

The anti-graft agency filed 11 charges against him. The charges with suit number FHC/L/178C/19 were filed before a Lagos State High Court.

The artiste was later arraigned before Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on May 20, 2019.

Following his arraignment, Justice Oweibo ordered that Naira Marley be remanded in prison custody until May 30 to take the bail application filed by the defence counsel, Taiwo Oreagba, on behalf of his client.
