So Sad! Kerosene explosion Kills two, injures others in Akwa Ibom (Photo)
Kerosene explosion has killed two children and injured three others in Ikono Ibom Clan in Uyo local government area of Akwa Ibom State.
It was gathered that a tricycle operator and father of three, Mr. Nsikak Michael, suffered severe burns from the kerosene explosion, which also caused the death of two of his children.
Michael, who is currently receiving medical care for severe burns at the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, UUTH, said he purchased the kerosene from a filling station along Idoro road after close of work.
He said the kerosene exploded when he attempted to light up the lantern in the small poultry farm he operates close to his house in Ikot Enyingne Ikono.
The victim said one of the two children died at the hospital few hours after they were rushed there for medical attention.
