SARS! ‘I’m going to hold you because you are carrying a rifle and wearing khaki’
A Nigerian rapper, Jibola Jasper, has alleged that men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad harassed him over a photo on his phone.
He said the photo which showed him wearing Khaki and holding a toy rifle was a photo shoot for his latest music video.
The rapper narrated his ordeal on his Twitter page and posted the photo from the video shoot. He wrote,
“Yesternight I was held by Sars men, along “Oba Akran” after he forcefully checked my phone n found this pic..
“He said “ I’m gonna hold you cus u carrying Rifle n wearing khaki”.. I was like can u see I was on set shooting my m/video, yet he won’t allow me go….. senseless !!!”
Over the last few months, some celebrities have also had their fair share of either being arrested or harassed by men of SARS. From Dr. Sid to Sarz the music producer and even Praiz, the list is endless.
Twitter users also condemned the SARS officer and opined that their activities should be checked.
