Nigerian businesswoman and second richest African woman in the world, Folorunsho Alakija celebrated her 65th birthday on Friday at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos.

The occasion was also used to mark the 40th wedding anniversary of the Alakijas.

The party was attended by many important personalities from various walks of life in Nigeria.Among those in attendance was Mr Femi Otedola, chairman of Forte Oil Plc, Chief Ernest Shonekan and Margaret Shonekan.

Also in attendance were the seven children of Mrs Alakija.
