Sense will fall on us one day, Sam Adeyemi says in reaction to Olukoya’s condemnation of Christmas
The Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Center, Sam Adeyemi, has reacted to the condemnation of Christmas celebration by Dr Daniel Olukoya of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries.
The MFM General Overseer, while speaking at the Wednesday Manner Water Service, a programme organised by his church to shift members’ attention from the 2019 Christmas celebration, had said Christmas celebration as idolatry.
He further argued that no book in the Bible recorded the word ‘ Christmas’ or that Jesus was born on December 25.
Olukoya’s damning verdict on Christmas celebration has since sparked criticisms and counter-arguments among Christians and church leaders.
Adeyemi, who hardly meddle into controversial issues, took to his verified Twitter page in the early hours of Thursday to react to the MFM GO’s comment and the uproar it has generated.
He described the debate as unnecessary and opined that better issues that would contribute to the development of the nation should be subject of discourse and not “quarreling over whether eating Christmas chicken will make us go to heaven or not.”
“Sense will “fall on us” one day,” the Daystar pastor said.

Adeyemi tweeted:
“The countries from where they brought Christianity to Nigeria celebrated Christmas with uninterrupted power supply. Some of us were quarelling over whether eating Christmas chicken will make us go to heaven or not. Sense will “fall on us” one day. I pray it won’t be long
“I heard @AlikoDangote say that Egypt added 10,000 MW of electricity generation in 18 months. Nigeria has hardly added 2000 MW in 20 years despite spending more money. Instead, we have air polution and noise polution from generators, or darkness. Shouldn’t we be discussing this?”
