SERIAL OFFENDER! India arrests Nigerian for peddling drugs, recovers N10.4 million cocaine

Indian authorities have arrested a Nigerian, identified as Joesph Uzoma, for allegedly trafficking in cocaine

27-year-old Uzoma was allegedly supplying the banned hard drugs in Delhi, using the Hauz Rani Bus Stop in the city as his base.

It was gathered that police laid a trap and arrested Nigerian after a tip-off.

Indian media outlets reported online that a total of 37.5 gram of cocaine, worth Rs 20 lakh [about N10,406,672.48] in the international market, was recovered from Uzoma.

It was gathered that Uzoma was staying at Hauz Rani near Malviya Nagar in rented premises.

Vijay Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South district, said

“The information was received that the accused would be coming in a private taxi to supply the Cocaine to someone at Hauz Rani bus stop following which a trap was laid and the accused was apprehended with 37.5 Cocaine in his possession.”

“During interrogation, that he had procured the recovered contraband from a supplier from Noida. He came to India on a student Visa and thereafter indulged himself in illegal activities and finally started supplying Cocaine in retail after obtaining the same from a supplier from Noida. Previously he was also involved in the same nature of crime.”
