SHAME: Read what this doctor did to his patient
An Abuja based gynecologist, Kalu Nwachukwu is now in police net for doing a very shameful thing.
The 47-year-old was nabbed after female patients complained about the way he acts whenever he attends to them. They alleged that he drugs his patients and after they become unconscious, he has sexual intercourse with them.
Nwachukwu was arrested on August 4 for “unethical conduct”, Dailytrust reported.
According to police statement, the doctor was “in the habit of taking undue advantage of his female patients who come to him for treatment.”
Police said Nwachukwu confessed to the offence.
“Nwachukwu is alleged to have used drugs to induce the women in order to have intercourse with them,” said FCT police spokesman Manzah Anjuguri.
The police seized the opportunity to warned the public to ensure they “carry out thorough background check on the credibility” of doctors they engage as personal or family physician.
Nwachukwu is currently remanded in Kuje Prison by a court pending trial.
Nwachukwu’s secrets came to light after a woman he helped conceive at his Life Point Medical Centre in Utako discovered that the child does not belong to her husband after paternity test.
Nwachukwu is not known to have any complaint of unethical conduct against him at the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
His gynaecologist colleagues questioned his being detained since early August. They also questioned police account of him drugging and then sexually abusing women.
“This is all just to taint his image and the medical professional,” a fellow gynaecologist said in Nwachukwu’s defence.
