The Lagos State police have arrested one Mr Balogun Afeez for allegedly molesting one of his pupils, a two-year-old girl.

The sad incident happened at Holbrook Creche Nursery and Primary School in the Pedro area of Gbagada, Lagos State.

According to reports, 27-year-old Afeez molested the toddler in a classroom. However, he was caught in the shameful act by the school security.

Afeez initially denied having carnal knowledge of the little girl but she kept pointing at her private part and bruises she sustained from his forceful penetration.

Afeez was handed over to the police in the area who later transferred the case to the Gender Section of the State Command in Lagos, P.M.EXPRESS reports

WuzupNaija gathered that after investigations, the police found Afeez guilty and charged him before the Ogba Magistrates court for defiling the 2-year old.

The prosecutor, Mr. Christopher John, informed the court that the defendant defiled the victim who was a minor inside the school premises and was caught in the act.

His plea was not taken and he was not granted bail because of the gravity of the offence.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. Peter Nwaka, ordered Afeez to be remanded in prison custody and directed the prosecutor to duplicate the file and send it to DPP for advice.

The matter was adjourned till 17th September 2018.
