SHE WAS ACCUSING ME OF DATING OTHER GIRLS! 24-year-old boy stabs jealous 19-year-old girlfriend to death during a fight in Ondo

A 24-year-old boy identified as Saliu Ladayo has reportedly stabbed his 19-year-old girlfriend, Confidence Nwamaka, to death in Akure, Ondo State capital.

Confidence, who is a college student, was killed on Tuesday evening following a minor disagreement between her and boyfriend.

The incident which happened at Falodun Street, Off Oshinle Quarters in Akure left many residents in shock.

A witness said the two lovers had been dating for a long period but had always been at loggerheads on trust issues.

The witness said late Confidence was currently writing her Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination when she met her untimely death.

The witness said,

“Ladayo and Nwamaka were inside the house when suddenly an argument ensued and which led to a heavy fight. Before we knew what was happening, the boy had stabbed the young girl and by the time we rushed her to a hospital she had already given up.

“It was later the boy told us that the girl was accusing and cursing him for dating other girls, which made him to stab her.”

The state police command spokesman, Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident on Wednesday, disclosing that the case was reported to the police by some neighbours in the area.

The police spokesman said the culprit was immediately arrested and had been cooling his head at the Police headquarters in Akure.

Joseph said,

“The boy has confessed to us that he stabbed his girlfriend because she always accused him wrongly of double-dating, and cursed him.

“It was out of that annoyance that he brought out a knife from the house and stabbed her in the stomach.”
