SHE WAS MEANT TO PASS OUT TODAY! Falz blows hot over death of female corps member who was shot by police [Photo]
Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falalna, aka Falz, has condemned an unidentified Nigerian hospital for refusing to treat a female corps member after a trigger-happy police officer shot her on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, in Abuja.
Linda Angela Igwetu who was meant to pass out today July 5th was shot and bled to death after she was rejected in a hospital in Garki.
Falz took to his Twitter page to vent out his frustrations and said that doctors don’t have the right to deprive anyone a chance to live in life-threatening situations.
Falz who is also a trained lawyer said that no hospital has the right to deny even a suspected armed robber treatment.
Falz wrote,
“This country ehn. I really don’t grab. Sigh.
“If somebody has a gunshot wound and they are brought to your hospital, you are supposed to treat them, not ask for any f*cking police report.
“Even if na suspected armed robber, Who are you to deprive them of the right to stay alive? Let the court pass judgment.”
The news was shared by the deceased’s sister and brand consultant Segun Awosanya on her Twitter page.
According to reports, Linda was out celebrating her passing out with her friends when the policeman shot the car she was in.
She sustained gunshot wound and was rushed to Garki hospital but the hospital refused to treat her because there was no police report authorizing them to treat her gunshot wound. She then bled to death.
Confirming the incident, Police spokesman, Anjuguri Manzah, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, said that the command was investigating the incident.
