The refusal of the organisers of Headies 2016 awards to give the best male vocal performance award to Dare Art Alade for his effort with ‘Pray For Me’ has startled Nigerians.

At the awards ceremony presently going on at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, Shaydee won the award ahead of other contestants in the same category.

While Nigerians were not particular about Darey Art Alade winning the award, they were utterly shocked that Wande Coal, another good vocalist was not given the award ahead of the lady who was announced as winner in the category.

Some of their comments include the fact that the organisers have lost their credibility with the calibre of people winning in certain categories, which was one of the talking points of the last edition of the awards where Don Jazzy and Olamide had an open exchange of words.
