Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has shared his two cents on weed smoking.

WuzupNigeria recalled that last month the rapper had in a cryptic tweet suggested he would never stop smoking cannabis.

The rapper shared a photo of himself smoking the drug and wrote;

”Legalise it or not I will smoke it.”

However, weeks after the tweet, the ‘Soapy’ crooner took to the microblogging platform to condemn weed smoking, saying the act doesn’t make smokers cool.

He wrote,

WuzupNigeria reports that fans had described Naira Marley as the new Fela Anikulapo-Kuti after his arrest and eventual release by the EFCC. However, a Fela protege,  Dede Mabiaku, described the comparison as inappropriate.

Mabiaku noted that the comparison trivialised the essence of Fela’s struggles.
