Social media shot you to stardom, Nigerians lambaste Tboss for calling for ban
After rising to limelight through the help of social media, former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tokunbo Idowu, popularly known as Tboss, has called for a ban of the platform in Nigeria.
The ex-BBNaija star made the call via her verified Instagram page with over 750,000 followers where she is known to enjoy cult-like followership of social media users who throng the comment section of her posts to hail and express their admiration of her personality.
Recall that Tboss has been in the news recently over speculations that she is pregnant and may soon be joining the league of baby mamas of Tripple MG boss Ubi Franklyn, who is reported to be expecting his fourth child from his fourth baby mama.
Apparently irked by the pregnancy rumour, Tboss said with the increasing rate of toxic people on the internet, social media should be banned in Nigeria.
In a post on her IG story, Tboss wrote,
“There are too many mean and toxic people out there on social media and for that reason; it should be banned in Nigeria.
“Personally, I think social media ought to be banned in Nigeria. Just so many mean people on there.”
The post didn’t go down well with many Nigerians who have taken to social media to lambaste her and call her an ingrate.
Some opined that after begging for votes through social media to finish as a finalist in the BBNaija show, she has suddenly forgotten her humble beginning and now wants the platform banned.

Even persons who became celebrities because they “straffed” some random guys they met in a boring house on cable tv have opinions. We must not deny them that fundamental right. https://t.co/IMa4Jz8UVd

You should not even give her your reverred attention. We should leave her with her jet owners. I like her though. But her statement is clownish.
