Gallant soldiers of the Nigerian Army, on Saturday rescued another Chibok girl and her baby from Boko Haram captivity.
In a statement issued by the spokesman of the Nigerian Army Col. Sani Usman, the young mother, identified as Maryam Ali Maiyanga and her baby were rescued by Nigerian troops in Pulka, Gwoza local government area of Borno State.
The army spokesman said the girl and her baby were discovered at about 6:00 am Nigeria time this morning, when the army was screening latest escapees from Sambisa forest.
Recall that over 200 Chibok schoolgirls were abducted by Boko Haram terrorists group in April 2014.
Recently some of the girls through the relentless efforts of the Nigerian military, regained their freedom and resettled with their families.
However, most of the freed girls are yet to settle and start a new life following the maltreatment and defilement they suffered in the hands of their abductors.
