Nollywood actress, Tayo Sobola, a.k.a Sotayo Gaga, has alleged that one Idris Bello fraudulently obtained the sum of N4.7m million from her and her contacts and disappeared into thin air.

The actress in a lengthy Instagram post said she was introduced to the fraudster by veteran actor,  Saidi Balogun and actor Mustapha Ololade.

Sotayo also claimed that she had relentlessly called and sent multiple messages to Saheed Balogun in the last few months but the latter has not reached out to her.

The actress wrote,

“WANTED!!!!! Months ago I was approached by @saidibalogun and @mustiphasholagbade to go on Hajj/mecca trip with them sponsored by this guy named IDRIS.

I was talked into becoming an ambassador for his company and I refused immediately. After much questioning from me to @saidibalogun and @mustiphasholagbade, they assured me that they know him well and he’s not a scammer.

Then I accepted the offer of going with them to Hajj. Now, I was sent a flier to post on my page which is suppose to be the proper procedure to be taken. Now, to cut all long stories this guy took money from some of my contacts and since then he has neither called anyone /picked up calls nor refunded the money he collected. He’s nowhere to be found.

Mr @saidibalogun I have been calling and messaging you in the last few months please and please, kindly provide this guy you claim to know. He needs to refund the money he took from my contacts.

I have tried my best to keep this off the internet. This will be my first move on this, don’t test my patience!!! Please help me repost this ooo!! At least if you cant provide him, maybe the internet will help me.

His girlfriend’s page is @abolajilawal22 and she has also been claiming not to know his whereabouts”.

Sotayo Gaga, also, clarified that she’s not at loggerheads with Saidi Balogun, however, she wants him to reach out to his fraudulent friend.

“For better understanding, I’m not in any way fighting MR Saheed Balogun. I’m just asking for him to please help me speak to his contact IDRIS BELLO that he introduced to myself and Mustapha Sholagbade to release the money he took from my followers or produce him in person.

This guy has refused to refund the money in his possession and he even turned his phones off in months. In fact, he Eloped.

I have placed several calls and messages to him and even sent people but he keeps pushing my talks aside like its nothing. The country is not smiling. 4.7m is not a joke.

If I can come here openly to place an advert, I believe I should be able to come here too to help people try to recover their money. Because now, the people whose money is involved are threatening to put my photo up and some other people are relaxing.”

Reacting to Sotayo’s claims, actor Mustapha Ololade, who was also involved in the issue released a statement on his IG page. He wrote;

“This guy is a fraudster a big 419. Before the whole issue turned this way I knew how many times I called him and he’s giving different kind of story, later all his contact didn’t go again.

Until when my contacts started calling me last week that this guy said is going to return back their 500k and till now they haven’t heard from him. Up till now. All I did for this guy was based on a Muslim brother in Islam I did not collect a dime from Saidi Balogun that introduced him to me either collect from Bello Adedayo Idris too, for doing advert or something.

The promo we all did for him it was because of Saidi Balogun he was the one that talk to me that the guy has spent close to 20m. And he hasn’t gotten a single person blabla that we should help him. When all this came out from a whole Saidi Balogun, do I have any reason to doubt him?

And he said I’m owing him a 100k from the ticket he booked for me that went wrong, which he accepted to bear the loss himself since the ticket was meant to be 27th of June after he sent me a fake ticket I got to know when I got to the airport, and he started given series of lies that he booked the ticket for 27th of July while he sent me 27th of June and name wasn’t found on the system.

and as at that time ticket was 380 and I ended up paying this bastard, over 400k. How is that a debt bros. All this you are hiding is not the best for you I will advise you to just show up by yourself before you being showed finally… please Mr Saidi Balogun you brought this guy to us you need to find him.”
