South African film festival: Kate Henshaw wins Best Actress in a Supporting Role
Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, has won the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 2020 edition of Rapid Lion Film Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The 48-year-old was recognised for her role as Officer Stainless in the movie The Ghost and The House of Truth.
Kate shared the news on Instagram late Monday but confirmed that she received the news on Saturday.
The Cross River-born actress wrote:
“I am beyond happy to have won this award on Saturday all the way in South Africa and have my work judged by a competent jury.”
The Ghost and The House of Truth is a movie by Nollywood actress and producer, Ego Boyo, which follows a counsellor’s actions after she discovers her 15-year-old child is missing.
It stars Kate Henshaw as Officer Stainless, Toyin Oshinaike as Uncle Joe, Susan Wokoma as Bola Ogun, Mario Obruthe as Tomi, Imoleayo Olusanya as Nike and Dara Egerton-Shyngle as Susan.
