Stop playing the victim’s card, Nigerians chastise Dolapo Badmus for saying Nigeria Police Force remains the most bullied in Africa
Some Nigerians on twitter have strongly disagreed with the Chief Superintendent of Police, Dolapo Badmus, for saying the Nigeria Police Force remains the most bullied in the whole of Africa.
According to Badmus, the “stigmatized” police officers do their best to ensure the safety of lives and property.
She further eulogised the good officers saying that didn’t allow the effect of the bad ones rub off on them.
Her tweet reads;
“Nigeria Police Force remains the most bullied in the whole of Africa.
“Probably in the whole world….yet they still do their best to ensure safety of lives and property.
“Weldone to the good officers that didn’t allow the effect of the bad ones rub off on them.”
However, many Twitter users who had experienced the ruthlessness and ill-treatment of some police officers tackled Badmus saying the latter is the most incompetent force not just in Africa but in the world.
Some disgruntled citizens also resulted to name calling and described the police force with unflattering terms.
See the tweet and some comments:
A big joke. No doubt there are very fine officers but I find this tweet senseless and very offensive especially with the news of trigger happy policemen in the last one week. SMH.

I have never seen citizens bullying a police officer for no reasons so I’m not understanding this victim card ohh auntie dola.

You missed it. Nigeria Police is the one that bully most in the universe. If I may ask, who’s bullying Nigeria Police?

The bad ones are more than the good ones, hence the reason for the kind of treatment they received most times.
The supposed good ones should do their best to flush out the bad ones!— Majeed Abiodun (@realmkoabiodun1) April 8, 2019
I would say that Nigeria Police is the topmost ranking extra-judicial killer in the world. Scarcely does a month pass without a Nigerian cop killing a citizen over bribe, girlfriend/love interest, show of power, stray bullet, to cover up fact or even when the officer is drunk

So, who’s bullying @PoliceNG ? Your tweet feels like you do not care about the couple of people been shot by your collegues recently, not all police are bad, but you the good ones (if you claim you are good) should do something to combat the bad effect of the crooks amongst you.

I disagree with the loudest voice, respect is reciprocal only few deserve respect, the % of the bad eggs is over 90%. No regards for human right I have witness lots of brutality of the Nigerian police. They don’t deserve any until #NigerrianPoliceIsReformed have a nice day.
— Emmanuel Taiwo (@emmyword) April 8, 2019
Bullied? By whom? The @PoliceNG is one of the most irresponsible and unresponsive police outfits in the world. They are guilty of serially abusing the fundamental rights of citizens and flouting the laws. You have more rascals in your rank and file than professionals.

This same Nigerian police kills over 400 people yearly and terms it accidental discharge!!
This same police harasses citizens…over a million cases yearly!!
Do i mention injuries sustained or those killed in custody!
U guys deserve worse than u get!— Abembem (@Chukwunnocent) April 8, 2019
U see those good ones you talk about?? They aren’t up to 10%… Its not a coincidence…Nigerians have suffered hell in the hands of police… We simply dont like u guys…
— Abembem (@Chukwunnocent) April 8, 2019
Most irresponsible and unprofessional force in the whole world. Just the sight of the black and black uniform annoys me

I hope she didn’t Kidnap & Bully Twitter C.E.O, as usual, to unblock her from my handle?
Nah waah oh I hope @Yomishogunle won’t be d next Bully
— Emmanuel Tendermartin ❁ (@Tendermartin) April 8, 2019
They are bullied or disregarded because they are unprofessional most times.

Dolapo: you can arrest me anytime: and I would break out just for you to arrest me, and with you I’d go peacefully and happily
— truthtalk (@davmap) April 9, 2019
If you say so, what then have you to say about the Nigeria Armed robbers, kidnappers and even 419 aka Yahoo Yahoo boys? Or does the approach of operation by some officers in the @PoliceNG different from the armed robbers that the police claimed to be protecting the people from?
— Charles Pemu (@chaizymoflynpm) April 8, 2019
I’m just wondering how the Nigerian police force will be reformed with a mindset like this ?
— Tony Nnando ?????? (@Chef_Tee88) April 9, 2019
The term “most bullied” is confusing.
— James TA. (@James_Tanko) April 9, 2019
We like the work you have been doing as PRO and would like it to remain so but don’t come up with this narrative please.Nigerians do not have good tales about the Nigerian Police and the timing is wrong. Some family just lost their Son to same brutality we are complaining about.
— ijeoma miriam (@ijeoma_miriam) April 8, 2019
#EndSARS and retrain your officers. Trust me they will get the desired respect they yawn for. Eku ise
— Dr Ben (@benjaminbamid12) April 8, 2019
Well, it is said in this world you reap what you sow. If truly the NPF is the most bullied, then it’s because they bully the very people they were meant to secure. Life just has its way of repaying in kind. If the NPF improves I’m certain karma will take note too and be kinder.

They are also the most corrupt, most unethical, most unprofessional, most heartless and most wicked set of humans in the whole of Africa, probably in the whole world….
