Vincent Uche Mbanefo, a student of the Anambra State University Igbariam, was killed on Monday by thunder while he was in his lodge at Achalla.

The sad incident happened in the evening during a heavy downpour and lightning.

According to DailyPost, the command spokesman, SP Haruna Mohammed, in a statement described the incident as “sudden and unnatural death”.

He said Police detectives attached to Achalla division visited the scene and rushed the victim to the hospital where he was certified dead by a medical doctor.

Mohammed also said that the parents of the deceased were immediately contacted and has conveyed the corpse for burial to their village in Aguleri
