Suicidal mission: Commuters prevent man from plunging into Lagos Lagoon [Video]
Some good samaritans on Thursday averted disaster at the Lekki area of Lagos state when they prevented a man from plunging into the lagoon.
A social media user took to Instagram to share a video of the moment the man was being rescued as he attempts to dive into the lagoon in what looks like a suicidal mission.
The Lagos lagoon has become a major spot for suicide in the state, as several related incidents have been recorded around the area in the past, especially on the third mainland bridge.
Recall that men of the Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) recently prevented a lady from diving into the lagoon after dropping a suicidal note on social media. The RRS also rescued another man from committing suicide on the third mainland bridge in January.
