Breaking: Nigeria beat Egypt 1-0 in international friendly
The Super Eagles of Nigeria on Tuesday defeated the Pharaohs of Egypt 1-0 in an international friendly.
Paul Onuachu’s spectacular goal in the first 10 seconds of the match sank the Egyptians at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.
The FC Midtjylland forward’s who was handed his full debut for the Eagles scored the matchwinner against Javier Aguirre’s men who are hosts of the AFCON finals in June.
Leon Balogun and John Ogu were the only changes in the defence and midfield respectively from Seychelles win. In attack, Moses Simon returned to start a Nigeria game after almost two years (against Zambia in October 2017) on the fringes.
Henry Onyekuru completed the attacking trident as Daniel Akpeyi led from the back.
