Tailor dragged to barracks, beaten mercilessly over face-off with soldier’s wife in Edo [Photos]
A tailor got more than he bargained for after his face-off with the wife of a soldier as he received the beating of his life from soldiers at S&T barracks road, Uselu, in Benin, the Edo State capital.
The artisan who was left with many bruises on his body after the assault was allegedly dealt with for failing to deliver the clothing material given to him by a soldier’s wife.
According to the victim, the wife of one of the soldiers had given him a cloth to sew but he couldn’t, because she didn’t make herself available for measurement.
Narrating his ordeal, he said the lady later sent her daughter to collect the clothing material but the girl was rude to one of his apprentices and she eventually left without taking the material with her.
The client then sent her second daughter to pick it up the material but the tailor insisted that the rude daughter should come so that he could teach her some home training.

That decision obviously didn’t sit well with their mom, who reportedly stormed the shop to assault the tailor.
It was gathered that the tailor told her that he can’t do anything to her but would have retaliated if a man had assaulted him in that manner.
The lady was said to have reported the matter to her husband who mobilised his colleagues to the shop to whisk the tailor away to their barracks, where he was severely beaten up.
