Terry Apala: My sound is not for Nigerian music industry [Watch]
Nigerian singer, Terry Apala, has disclosed that his sound is not for the Nigerian music industry.
The 30-year-old singer revealed that his management is from South Africa because of the uniqueness of his sound.
Terry Apala made the disclosure in an interview with Plus TV Africa‘s Tea Time.
The singer also said he does not want to sound disrespectful, however, the Nigerian music industry is “for the shaku shaku.”
” I have a new management, my management is from South Africa, not Nigeria anymore… I’m very sorry to say this because I think my sound is not for the Nigerian music industry here.
“I think the Nigerian music industry is used to one particular sound… I don’t want to say something because it looks like I’m trying to discriminate
“The industry now is all about the shaku shaku… I don’t want to start mentioning names…
Terry explained that his South African management may not understand what he is saying but have a good grasp of his sound.
Terry further explained the difference between Fuji and Apala sound.
He said he learnt how to speak Yoruba from Apala sound.
The Delta State indigene said that Apala music is not just for everyone but for the mature mind.
Terry Apala is one of the most influential Nigerian singers who is believed to also have a fairly high net worth.
