The church has the power to mess up bloggers, we can shut you down, Apostle Suleman boasts [Video]
The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has boasted that churches in Nigeria have the power and required number to shut down blogs that post negative and damaging reports about his personality and other pastors.
He said his church choristers alone are enough to report a blog and it would be shut down.
The Edo-based preacher issued the threat in a new video where he was seen addressing his congregants during a service. The video emerged on the social media on Sunday.
Suleiman’s threat was prompted by a negative blog post about his “father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo.”
He said he called the blogger to pull down the post otherwise he would report the site to be shut down.
In the footage he said,
“All these ones making noise on social media, it doesn’t cost anything to close them down. How many people do we need to report a page, they’ll shut it down.
“I keep telling them, the Church has got the number to mess up bloggers.”
“That we are keeping quiet does not mean bloggers should try nonsense.” he added
“We are just keeping quiet, we will shut you down. We’re giving you means of livelihood don’t abuse it.
“But if you say you want drama, let’s start the drama.
“You’re talking too much, you are not making sense, so we will just help you to stop your stupidity, before you become a community nuisance.
“Most of these bloggers are women, ask them for their husbands, marriage has dealt with them so they are bitter. We are not your problem, no be we do you,” he said as his congregants exclaimed with excitement
