THEY DISCRIMINATED AGAINST HER! Lady denied job because of her ‘suggestive ghetto name’

A lady, simply identified as Hermeisha Robinson, has narrated how she was denied a job because her name appears “ghetto.”

Miss Robinson said she was qualified for the job but was shocked when the company mailed her saying “unfortunately we don’t consider candidates that have suggestive “ghetto” names.

The angry applicant sheared the mail on her Facebook page and said she was so hurt because they discriminated against her.

Robinson said she even began to ponder and question her name to know if it is really a “ghetto” name.

“I have a public service announcement, I am very upset because today I received an email about this job that I applied for as a customer service representative at mentality health.

“I know am qualified for the position as they see on my resume. They discriminated against me because of my name which they considered it to be “ghetto” for their company.

“My feelings are very hurt and they even got me second guessing my name, trying to figure out if my name is really that “Ghetto”.

“I would like everyone to share this post because discrimination has to stop.”

Meanwhile, many Facebook users sympathised with her and some recounted similar experiences.

Some also made a jest of her name and opined that her name is quite ghetto.

Reacting to some internet trolls,  Robbinson said the comments are getting to her and really hurting her feelings. She wrote,

“What I don’t understand is why would I publicly humiliate myself? About a name that I was given people are so mean and rude and will say anything to get laughs like I just all of a sudden just make up something so mean like this!

“Even though you see news articles and media post yet you still call me a liar My feelings are very hurt and you people not making it no better for me about this situation by making fun of my name.

“I am human and I didn’t ask for any of this so canY’alll just leave y’all rude comments to yourself because I haven’t did anything or said anything WRONG to nobody!”

Her post has now gone viral and officials of the company have replied, claiming they were hacked and the email was sent by the hacker.

Kevin Meuret, the CEO of the Mantality Health, a clinic that treats men with low testosterone, told St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Tuesday that someone from outside Missouri hacked into its email system and they believe it’s most likely a disgruntled former employee.

Meanwhile, one of the social media users who reacted to Hermeisha’s post said she isn’t surprised by the response the lady got from the company because she once worked in a company where she was instructed to throw out all job applications that have an “ethnic” name.
