THEY DUMPED HER REMAINS AT A ROUNDABOUT! Five arrested over rape, murder of 35-year-old woman in Anambra
The Anambra State Police Command has arrested five persons, including three workers in a hotel, over the alleged rape and murder of a 35-year-old woman.
The Police Public Relation Officer of the command, SP Haruna Mohammed, in a statement on Tuesday, alleged that Okoronji Emeka and Umezinwa Val, both 24 years old, had on 5 December 2018 lured one Gold Gift into a hotel and killed her after raping her.
He said that the duo were arrested on Monday, 17 December 2018 following a tip-off.
According to him, preliminary investigation further revealed that the victim was later taken by the hotel staff and dumped at BSMG roundabout Onitsha, without informing the Police.
Following the revelation, the police arrested the manager of the hotel, Mr. Ekene Gabriel, 30; the barman, one Tom Bishop Emmanuel, 25, and the gateman, one Arume Ifeanyi Godwin, 27.
Mohammed said the suspects will be charged to court after investigation is concluded
