THEY SQUABBLED OVER N50! Mob sets commercial bus driver ablaze for stabbing passenger to death in Lagos [Photos]
A mob on Tuesday set a commercial bus driver ablaze after he allegedly killed one of his passengers at the Five Star Bus Stop near Aswani Market, Isolo, Lagos.
WuzupNaija gathered that the conductor and the passenger had a misunderstanding over a change of N50.
Eyewitnesses said the bus was heading to Aswani market area, and the passenger opted to alight at the junction before the market and demanded his N50 change.
The conductor, however, refused to hand over the change and allegedly threatened the passenger.
In the ensuing argument, the conductor was said to have grabbed a knife from a Hausa man selling his wares by the roadside and stabbed the passenger.
He died immediately.
Angered by the incident passers-by attacked the conductor, beat him to stupor before setting him on fire. The mob also burnt the vehicle.
The driver of the bus flew the scene.
It was further gathered that after the mob also attacked other commercial buses plying the route and destroyed at least three vehicles.
