Those working for clean money will never call Nigeria hellish, Buhari’s aide replies Omotola Jalade
The Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, has countered a statement made by Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, directed at the All Progressive Congress-led government.
In a tweet, Bashir Ahmad said those who are working for clean money are not complaining and will never describe Nigeria as “hellish”.

This is coming after the actress had called out the president and his vice, Yemi Osinbajo lamenting “lack of money in circulation and “police brutality” in a tweet on Monday, April 15, 2019.
Omotola’s posts read;
“The country under your watch is hellish. The lack of money in circulation now coupled with the continuous assault and killings by uniformed men will make this country implode!,” she wrote on Twitter.
“It is unbearable! Do something! Insecurity! Fear and desperation everywhere.”
Ahmad further defended Buhari’s government by listing the contributions of the federal government to medium and small scale business.
He said,
“Madam Omotola those who are working for CLEAN money are not complaining and will never refer our dear country as ‘hellish’.
“In Kano State alone, from 2015 to 2018, no fewer than 200 medium and small scale rice milling centres emerged. For that, billions circulated among millions.
“There are problems, and some have been with us since 1950s. Yes, I am partisan and I replied you because you mentioned @MBuhari and @ProfOsinbajo’s govt which I am working in.
“We as Nigerians, can you honestly say we are all acting like we have problems? Do we really pay taxes?
The call for an end to police brutality and other problems in the country has become a source of concern to activists, social commentators and well-meaning Nigerians.
Celebrities like Rugged man, 2 Baba, Banky W, Ali Baba, Omoni Oboli, Comedian I Go Dye, Eedris Abdulkareem, amongst others have constantly spoken out about the ineptitude of the government, politicians and legislators.
Nigerians on Twitter also expressed divergent views over Omotola and Ahmad’s outburst.

As long as you’re not insinuating that I am not working CLEAN for my money… I hear you. Its good that there are some progress… Do you truly want to say you dont see all that’s really wrong? Can we fight for our future in truth for once? Without being partisan?

She has only expressed her frustration as a Nigerian and believe me, it’s the reality out there. You can’t have insecurity in a country and still be contending the fact that the country is not hellish!
— Deji Gbogi (@GbogiOfficial) April 16, 2019
It’s very unfortunate that nearly four years of Buhari’s government, alot of Nigerians are still finding it difficult to adjust to the present reality. Someone should pls tell @realomosexy that even during Good luck Jonathan’s administration, we didn’t pick money from the streets

Please Do NoT TWEET AT ME ABOUT GOODLUCK JONATHAN . I had No business with him or his govt. Neither do I have any with Apc or pdp.i care about #HumanRights . Why are you ppl so hung up on money? Is that all that matters to you?

Madam, it is past 2:00am..Maybe time to catch some sleep and continue on this later..I think the part about ‘No money in circulation’ really rubbed off the wrong way..You May want to clarify that and let this just pass..just my 2 cents

Omotola mama
Tell us if you use to pick money from the streets before nowOr are you saying your movies are not selling again? Maybe you should try to make some new movies like Genevieve
As if the President and Vice President removed all the money in circulation.?

Was wondering how much actresses are paid for each movie in respect to their extravagant lifestyle unlike the male actors. But now i know they have been on free money circulation pay list. Try directing movies with good content trust me it will sell rather than hoping for free $$

Dear @BashirAhmaad, I can boastfully beat my chest that I work for clean money. I am complaining.

Did you think this reply through Bashir? You do realise what it can be easily interpreted as right?
Do you mean @Realomosexy doesn’t earn CLEAN money?
Be better!
— Nerdy (@Nerdy_Dopey) April 16, 2019
I make clean money, but I can tell you for a fact that making clean money is an uphill task right now, this country is a HELL right now. People are dying in suffering. Nothing is good!! Hellish Nigeria!!!!!

Almajiri Bashir or what do you call yourself can you please go to goggle and check how much omotola net worth is. For your information she is one of the top 5 female celebrities in Nollywood & net worth N400 million. Let that sink into your myopic brain.

Uncle Bashir (mess cleaner), there’s always a response from you, at least that’s your job description; to give responses to twitter wailers. More grease to your elbow.
You see, if our generation do not hear the consequences of your actions, our children will.— Oluwadamilola Awolesi (@KnightofLagos) April 16, 2019
“Billions circulated among millions” yet your country became the poorest on earth. So,what are talking about?
— Pundit (@Blessonate) April 16, 2019
Bashir is attacking Omotola, saying she ain’t working for clean money.
Same person that defended Ganduje and Mr bullion van, something is wrong with this guy.

There’s one thing I know about everybody in the political class is; “they lie whenever it suits their narrative and likewise the truth”
I don’t expect anything from @BashirAhmaad other than to lie carelessly and say the truth moderately when it suits him too. That’s his job
