Three coronavirus patients disappear in Kano
Three coronavirus [Covid-19] patients in Kano State have allegedly disappeared from their homes and gone into hiding.
The Coordinator of Kano state Taskforce on COVID 19, Dr Tijjani Hussain, on Monday, said efforts by the committee to reach the patients failed.
He added that the trio have also switched off their handsets and went into hiding.
He said the committee would do everything possible to trace the fleeing COVID-19 patients wherever they must have relocated.
According to him, the committee would collaborate with security agents to track them and bring them to the isolation centre.
On whether the NCDC Kano testing centre has reopened, the Taskforce Committee Coordinator said the centre has yet to open.
He, however, said the effort was being intensified to reactivate the centre since it was closed down after it was fumigated on Wednesday last week.
