Three siblings die in Ibadan midnight inferno

A midnight fire at Ehin Grammar Area of Molete, Ibadan, in Oyo State has claimed the lives of three siblings on Friday.

Although the cause of the fire could not be ascertained yet, The Nigerian Tribune reports that the siblings died in their apartment where they were locked while their parents were away.

The eldest, of the children, it was gathered was a secondary school student whose name was given as Glory while the two others were said to be in primary school.

Some sympathisers were seen at the scene of the incident on Friday morning wondering how the children could have been locked in their apartment while the parents were away.

The father of the children, identified by residents as Baba Ara, an electrician, was said to have left the children in the room last night but no one could ascertain where he had gone to while the inferno lasted.

His wife, also known as Iya Ara, was said to have gone to work as she was on a night shift.
