THREE TROPHIES IN SIX MONTHS! Man City win Community Shield, beat Chelsea 2-0

Manchester City on Sunday claimed their first trophy on the season after defeating Chelsea 2-0 to win the Community Shield at the Wembley Stadium.

Kun Aguero opened scoring in the 13th minute after Phil Foden ran at Chelsea’s defence before squaring a pass to Aguero, who drove towards the edge of the box before shooting low through Rudiger’s legs and across Caballero into the bottom corner.

Aguero grabbed a second after the break as he collected a ball in the box and calmly slotted into the net.

City continued with their dominance throughout the game and were in total control as they clinched a fairly straightforward win in the London sunshine. Guardiola was also boosted as Benjamin Mendy made his first club start since last September.

The victory brought means Pep Guardiola and Man City have won three trophies in six months.

After the League Cup and the Premier League, City are taking the Community Shield back home with them.
