Tiger Woods victorious comeback, Obama, Trump, others congratulate him

American president, Donald Trump, and his predecessor, Barack Obama, have joined others in congratulating American golfer, Tiger Woods, on his incredible comeback victory at the Augusta Masters.

The 43-year-old veteran won a historic fifth green jacket at the Georgia event in what is arguably being touted as the greatest ever comeback in sport.

Woods came back to win his fifth green jacket having not held the lead after 54-holes.

Praises have poured in after his remarkable victory.

Former American president, Barack Obama wrote:

“Congratulations, Tiger! To come back and win the Masters after all the highs and lows is a testament to excellence, grit, and determination.”

Female tennis star, Serena Williams said the victory left her in tears, she wrote:

“I am literally in tears watching @TigerWoods this is Greatness like no other. Knowing all you have been through physically to come back and do what you just did today? Wow Congrats a million times! I am so inspired thank you buddy.”

Basketball player, LeBron James also sent congratulations to Woods:

“I SALUTE YOU @TigerWoods‼️‼️‼️ #Inspired.”
