Nigerian radio personality, Toke Makinwa, today, December 15, 2016, gave out a whooping sum of N50,000 to an Instagram user, @iamomawunmi, as part of her #10DaystoChristmasgiveaway.

Toke, who last month launched her autobiography, ‘On Becoming’, made the disclosure on her Instagram page, writing, “Congratulations @iamomawunmi send me your Account details via DM. Today’s 50k #10DaystoChristmasgiveaway and here is wishing you a Merry Christmas ?. Your message stood out because like you I used to second guess myself. You deserve it and more so pls don’t think anyone else is better or has a higher chance at something you want.”

The winner, @Iamomawunmi, posted a message on her Instagram in appreciation of Toke’s kind gesture, she wrote: “I’m so happy for being a winner of this.. It’s a suprise… I really didn’t expect this.. Thanks so much @tokemakinwa.. The Lord will bless you and continue to uplift you IJN… Through this, you’ll be great, people will bless God through you.

In her earlier post, Toke had announced that she would be giving out N50,000 each to 10 people in a bid to make their Christmas better.

“I have decided to give out 500k and here’s how we would do it, no competition, no questions to answer, I will play Santa and over the next 10 days, 10 people will win 50k daily,” she said.

It is 10 days to Christmas and in the spirit of the season I have decided to do a giveaway. This year has been tough financially, some people don’t even know what to do for their loved ones this Christmas?. I miss the good old days when we planned ahead to buy Xmas clothes, shoes, presents etc. i have decided to give out 500k and here’s how we would do it, no competition, no questions to answer, I will play Santa and over the next 10 days, 10 people will win 50k daily.
