Toke Makinwa reveals why she is still ‘as single as a dollar’
Media Personality Toke Makinwa has revealed why she has decided to stay single four years after her marriage to her estranged husband Maje Ayida hit the rock.
Toke’s 18-month marriage to Maje, a fitness coach, crashed when the latter impregnated his former girlfriend, Anita Solomon.
The media personality has been unusually talking about marriage in the past few days and today she tells us she is not ruling out marriage, but it would have to be with “someone who is worth it” because she loves herself too much.
WuzupNaija reports that on Monday Toke took to her Instagram page to announce that she will be giving marriage a second chance as she prepares to celebrate her 35th birthday in November.
She had said her 35th birthday would mark the end of her singleness as she dropped a hint she would be walking down the aisle soon, but she didn’t disclose the name of the lucky man.

Toke took to Twitter again on Wednesday morning to shed more light on why she has been single.
The media personality tweeted:
“First, I am still single, as single as a dollar bill but not as a result of the scarcity of “men”, but by choice.
“I love me too much to share me with anyone till…. well till I find someone who is worth it.”
