Top celebrities gear up for Nigeria’s Afroprom concert
Unlimited funfair awaits Nigerian secondary school graduates as they will get another opportunity to celebrate the successful completion of a crucial phase of their academic career at the Afroprom concert billed to hold in July.
Organisers of the concert which first held in 2009, J. Vanni Global said the event will host thousands of graduating teenagers at the Eko Convention Centre after the secondary school certificate exams.
It said Afroprom has always presented teenagers and secondary school graduates in Nigeria who have been living vicariously through their American counterparts for years through social media, the privilege of enjoying Prom.
Speaking on Afroprom, lead project manager at J. Vanni Global, Mobola Abiru said,
“We created Afroprom, Nigeria’s first concert for high school graduates between the ages of 14-18 with an eye on getting these teens to celebrate a remarkable achievement at a precious stage of their lives.
“Prom is not new to them, they see it happen everywhere else but not in Nigeria. This spurred us to create an avenue that will welcome them into adult life.”
Abiru added that guests at Afroprom 2019 will be treated to energetic and thrilling music performances fit for the occasion by a number of favourite top rated Nigerian popstars.
There will also be cameo performances by social media celebrities to complement the comic relief that will be offered by the presence of ace comedians.
Other side attractions include dance performances, the highly coveted Afroprom King & Queen crowns, raffle draw, and lots more.
The event which is scheduled to hold on Sunday, July 14, 2019, will equally reward attendants with enticing gifts such as an iPhone XR, PlayStation 4, and lots more.
