TOUCHING! 13 children die in Sokoto boat accident [Graphic photos]
The Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, has expressed sadness over the death of thirteen teenagers who lost their lives in a boat accident in Rimawa village, Sokoto State.
The boat capsized at Rafin Kan when the passengers tried to cross a river on a business trip.
Tambuwal accompanied by the state chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Alhaji Usmsa Danmadami Isa, as well as other top government functionaries on a condolence visit prayed Allah to forgive the dead and make Aljana Fiduas their final abode.
Tambuwal further appealed to the parents to take solace in Allah, saying the death was a great loss to the entire state, Leadership reports.
Chairman Northern Governors Forum, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, also offered his condolences saying that the incident was an inevitable act of Allah. He prayed that Allah gives the affected families the fortitude to bear the loss.
Multiple media reports say the incident happened on Tuesday, January 20, 2018.
