Trader, driver abducted in Ondo
A woman who deals in textile and her driver have been kidnapped between Ugbe in Akoko North-East and Oka in Akoko South West local government areas of Ondo State.
The two victims were travelling to deliver some textile materials to Oka community when they were abducted.
A man who claimed to be the husband of the woman and gave his name as simply Mr Akogun said their abductors left the vehicle they were travelling in on the road.
He said the kidnappers were yet to contact him or any family member.
It was gathered that policemen from Oka and neighbouring communities including hunters and vigilance group have been mobilised to comb the forest to rescue the victims.
Police Area Commander for Iwaro, Assistant Commissioner of Police Funso Iluyemi who confirmed the incident said police were on top of the situation.
