Tragedy averted as BRT goes up in flames on Otedola bridge [Video & Photos]
Tragedy was averted on Monday morning when a Bus Rapid Transit owned by the Ogun State Government burst into flames at the Otedola bridge axis along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The BRT bus had burnt-down before the arrival of firefighters. WuzupNaija reports that the cause of the incident had not been ascertained as of the time of writing this report.
Recall that in July 2018, a fuel-laden tanker exploded along the same Otedola Bridge axis of Berger in Lagos after its brake was said to have failed.
The State Commissioner for Health, Jide Idris revealed that 10 bodies were recovered from the scene of the incident as opposed to the nine widely reported.
