Truck crushes father, son to death in Kogi
A truck on Tuesday crushed a father and his son to death in Kogi state.
The truck was however set ablaze by an angry mob.
Eyewitness account had it that the empty truck was about negotiating a bend when it lost control and crushed a pedestrian who was standing by the roadside together with his sons.
The middle-aged man was crushed alongside one of his sons, while the other son escaped unhurt.
It was gathered that onlookers who witnessed the incident set the truck ablaze.
Confirming the incident, the Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr William Aya, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), said that the truck lost control and crushed two pedestrians and injured one other person, who is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
