Reprieve seems to have come the way of Bisola Oladapo, a student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) who is reportedly battling cancer, as she successfully crossed the first hurdle on her way to seek medical attention.

Bisola’s friends and students of the institution took to social media a few days ago to kick off a campaign to raise N15 million for surgery for the young girl with a dedicated hashtag #SaveBisola.

The campaign heightened on Monday with many other Twitter users sympathetic to the cause also lending their voice and urging kind-hearted Nigerians to donate to save Bisola’s life.

Some of the campaigners, however, took to Twitter this morning to appreciate Nigerians for their donation, announcing that she has received N20 million in donations which above what she needed for the surgery.

They also announced a new hashtag #PrayForBisola as she will be undergoing the surgery soon.
